Happy Monday!

Homework this week will follow the regular routine of spelling on Monday and Wednesday and math on Tuesday  and Thursday nights.  Our spelling test will be on Thursday. We will be starting assessment of  division facts soon, so students need to continue reviewing facts. Students do not attend school on Friday.  It is a grading day for elementary schools.  We hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!

Since we only have school on Monday and Tuesday this week, there will be no math or spelling homework this week.  Wednesday is a no school day due to a furlough day.  Thursday and Friday are no school days due to the Thanksgiving holiday.  Students still need to practice their facts and read their Reading Counts  books.  Tomorrow, November 20th, is the last day for students to take a Reading Counts test to meet their term 1 goal and be invited to attend a pizza party celebration.  Students need to talk to their reading teacher if they have been absent lately.  Monday, November 26th, will be the last day to pass Mixed Facts or an individual math facts level this term.  The Ice Cream Sundae Celebration will be held Wednesday, November 28th.  Teachers will also be using this math and reading  information for grading purposes.  We hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving holiday!

It is hard to believe Thanksgiving will be here next week!!!  Please keep bringing in your donated foods for our friends and neighbors in need this Thanksgiving.  Friday is POPCORN DAY!!!  This week we are still finishing up our facts as well as learning about the distributive, commutative, and associative properties in multiplications.  We are also reviewing the orders of operations before we plunge into multiplication applications.  Check with you child's reading teacher for news about reading this week as we are all currently doing different things.
