Happy Monday!

With one  full week of school until spring break, we are very busy in fourth grade.  Our homework routine will follow the regular schedule. This week is a second Oaks testing opportunity in reading for fourth graders.  Proper rest and nutrition is very important for students to do their best on this important state assessment.  In addition, students will begin their month-long simulation on the Oregon Trail.  Students brought home a parent letter on Monday, outlining the key points of this simulation.  On Wednesday, fourth graders will attend the Arts Umbrella Orchestra at Springfield High School, returning to Ridgeview in time for lunch at 12:20 p.m.  Parents need to look for their student's progress reports on Wednesday as well. On Friday,  all students who met their Read-a-Thon goal will be treated to the movie, Mars Needs Moms.  It is hard to believe we only have one more term this year!  I hope we all have a sunny, restful spring break as we gear up for the final push. :)

Happy Monday!

This is a short week due to a grading day on Friday.  Wednesday is the last day for Reading Counts points to be counted for Term 2.  Thursday, March 15th,  is Spring Pictures.  The fourth grade read-in is also on Thursday.

Happy Monday!

Congratulations to Molly, Kazden, Maggie, and McKenzie for doing a great job at the regional Battle Of the Books competition.  They won both of their battles and did a super job representing Ridgeview Elementary. Fourth graders are completing their first state reading assessment (OAKS) this week. We are testing from 9:00-10:30 each morning.  It is important that students are well rested and well nourished so they can do their best. We have the regular homework routine this week.  BINGO and a Silent Auction is on Friday night.  It begins at 5:30.  Come and have a great time.
